I sent my invitations out about a week ago. WAY late, i know, but they're done now so at least I don't have to worry about it anymore. we used wax seals, which ended up doubling the postage, but oh well. now I know. and anyway, they turned out exactly how I wanted. I love them love them.

Sonic held this spur of the moment meeting on Monday where they broke the news that that night was the last night that sonic location would be open for business. So basically we all got laid off.

So if anyone heard that sonic was hiring, actually, they're firing.

at the end of the meeting they read a short list of people they were offering jobs to at another location. my name was read. I was relieved because weddings are very expensive, and currently, I make more than Christian does with tips and everything. At the same time though, I almost wish I wasn't hired back on.

I really need a new job. I really need to not hate my work so much. especially when I'm there so often. I spend more time with my co-workers than I get to spend with my family. i'll figure something out. tonight i'm going to apply online for Vons. The grocery business is really my cup of tea. I was stupid to stop working for SaveMart way back when. oh well. life is life is life.

The invitations were beautiful, and the wax stamp was my favorite part! It is a very good thing that you didn't get laid off, that means that they like you and will provide a good reference for your awesome next job. I know how it feels to hate your work. It ruins some people's lives! You're right, you have to spend much more time with your co-workers than with the people you love. Work may not be your favorite place, but it has helped me a lot to try to enjoy myself while I'm there. After all, if you're spending most of your time at work unhappy then you're spending most of your LIFE unhappy. Try to get good restful sleep at night and take a multivitamin before work. If your energy is good it will rub off on your co-workers and make your shifts more fun. Be ultra cheesy with customers. If you're laughing and making people smile your stress levels will go down and your work day will literally fly by. If you feel like looking at the clock, DON'T (unless you have to) Focus on getting things done instead of what time it is. Lastly, If I'm having a particularly bad day I like to take a bathroom break and force myself to smile really big. It sounds weird and it feels stupid at first, but if you smile big (show your teeth) for a few moments you can actually feel yourself getting happier right away. I do it in traffic all the time, haha. Sometimes our situations in life make it easy for us to be happy and other times we have to make a real effort. If you can make yourself be happy at a job you hate then you can be happy anywhere. Get through this and you'll be set for life, girl!
